HOW TO ADOPT

The following is the adoption process for HMHR horses only. For other horses listed on our site please contact the person listed under the horse's information.

1. Pick your horse/foal and notify us of your choice. If you are the first person that has chosen that horse/foal you will be notified and the horse/foal will be marked 'Reserved'.

2. You must fill out an application within 48 hours of being notified that the horse/foal you have chosen is Reserved for you. Your application (Click Here for Application) must be sent by either Express Mail or Fed Ex along with your money order or cashier’s check made payable to Heavenly Meadows (SEE ‘FEE’ SECTION FOR MORE DETAILS) and a copy of a photo ID must accompany your application.

3. Once your application has been processed you will be notified whether or not you have been approved for adoption. If you have been approved you will be given the necessary information on where to send your adoption fee. You will then have 48 hours to send confirmation (ie. tracking number) that your money has been sent. (PLEASE SEE ‘FEE’ SECTION FOR MORE DETAILS)

4. Make sure you have arranged hauling for your horse/foal. You are more than welcome to use your own hauler, or Heavenly Meadows will gladly help you find a hauler. (Click Here to e-mail us a request for a list of haulers.) Of Note: A current coggins (within 1 yr) and a Health Certificate (good only for 30 days) is required for your equine to travel. (See‘FEE’ section for more details).
