"I could honestly write pages on all the wonderful moments I have shared with you Melissa. You came into our lives at a time when we were losing hope in humanity and facing some very difficult choices. The PMU industry was crashing, our livelihood taken from us and our beloved horses facing a very uncertain future. It was devastating. Everyone, even our tough cowboys, were often brought to tears. It was difficult to face each day as it was full of heartbreak. For many of us, life as we knew it was over and we were in shock and in mourning. We were terrified of what the future would hold. Melissa, you and Heavenly Meadows offered us help and hope. Our farm works hard at marketing our horses and matching buyers with their perfect horse, but you offered help - with no personal gain - when our markets were crashing. Others had taken advantage of us, taken our horses and refused to pay. Just when we were losing faith, God sent us you Melissa. Although others have helped us, you have been a rock! Your faith has never faltered. You work so hard, with no, volunteers, diligently and without want. We have been through so much together and shared the difficult and frustrating moments. Now, a year later, we can promise with confidence that no Hedgeville horse will ever see slaughter. We know that the homes we have found are good ones and even though we slowly continue to disperse our herd, we know that future is bright for us and our horses. Heavenly Meadows has been a big part of making this possible and we will never be able to return the kindness shown to us and our horses. Melissa, you have a very special place in my heart and no thank you is big enough. I know you put your heart and soul into this. Everyone involved knows that you are 100% fair, trustworthy and do everything for the good of the horses and yet ask for nothing in return. I pray that somehow God will reward you in ways I cannot for all that you have given us and all the others who have been blessed by Heavenly Meadows.
